AMA Videos

Historic and current videos of or by the alumni of Augusta Military Academy in Fort Defiance, Virginia. Formally founded 1874, the school's history actually goes back as fat as 1865 when Charles Summerville Roller returned to his home in the Shenandoah Valley after the Civil War and began education war veterans who had forsaken education to fight in the war.Many of the videos presented here are from 8mm or 16mm home videos from parents of cadets.

The Roller Rifles were AMA's crack drill team. When decommissioned in 2011, they had been in existence for 65 years. Long after the school closed, a dedicated group of alumni reformed the platoon and exhibited during reunions from about 2006 - 2011.
